About Us
Wound Ostomy Continence Nurses Society – Hawaii Affiliate began in 1989
as the Enterostomal Therapy Nurses of Hawaii. In 2007 we became
incorporated as a nonprofit [501(c) (3)]
organization. We are a nursing organization comprised of
professionals in Hawaii with expertise in the care of patients with
wounds, ostomies and incontinence. We uphold the mission of our
national organization.
Our Mission Statement
The WOCN Society is a professional nursing society that supports its
members by promoting educational, clinical and research opportunities to
advance the practice and guide the delivery of expert health care to
individuals with wounds, ostomies and incontinence.
We accomplish
our mission by:

Supporting members with access
to the most up-to-date professional information in the field through
annual conference, products and publications and website.

Creating ample opportunities
for members to network.

Working to move the profession
forward on behalf of its members through its involvement on Capitol
Hill.

Offering research
opportunities through the WOCN Center for Clinical Investigation.
